Sophie Powell

Puppeteer and Performer

Sophie Ellen Powell is a puppeteer, performer, writer and teacher based in Brighton. She co-wrote and performs in Mischief and Mystery in Moomin Valley for Get Lost and Found. A regular performer for Long Nose Puppets, other performance credits include OH! Productions, Steven Whinnery’s Lying with the animals for the London International Mime Festival, Facepack Theatre, Theatre Rotto/idol Rich, Proteus Theatre Company, David Furnham Productions, Polka Theatre and Installations with Meg Power.

Sophie has a wide variety of teaching and directing experience from workshops in the community to regular contributions at Rose Bruford Drama College. As a writer she was recipient of the Kate Betts Memorial prize, the Exeter story Prize 2017 and long listing for both the Cambridge story prize and Myriad first drafts 2017.

Hannah McGavin

Associate Director 

 Hannah’s is a force of nature and has a background in dance theatre, interactive performance and public space theatre for large and small scales. Also a talented scriptwriter and event experience designer ,Hannah has been collaborating at Get Lost & Found since 2008 and consults with us in delivering a hugely creative, large scale corporate event.

Hannah is the Creative Director at Bakehouse Factory a multi award winning theatrical production company in Bristol.

Hannah’s family shows have been performed at the National Theatre ‘Watch this Space’, The Udderbelly Edinburgh Festival, Wales Millennium Centre, BFI Southbank, Camden Green Fair Regents Park Chapter Cardiff and Glastonbury.

Katy 'Coo' Costigan

Puppeteer and Performer

Katy is a theatre maker and performer from Gloucestershire. A founder member of Filskit Theatre, she likes to play with light, sound and projection to create exciting and beautiful theatre for young audiences. With Filskit Katy has toured throughout the UK and to China. Most recent productions include Huddle a Unicorn Theatre Production, Stella commissioned by The Barnsley Civic and ARC, as well as Kaleidoscope, an exploration of colour for babies. When not exploring new worlds with Filskit or playing in Moomin Valley, Katy is a facilitator of drama, specialising in clowning and mask.

Martin Bonger

Actor and Theatre Maker

Martin was on the team devising our new Roald Dahl show premiering in 2019. He  is also Artistic Director of Move to Stand (Messenger, Fat Man, The Collision of Things) and a core member of The Plasticine Men (Keepers, There Shall be Fireworks) . His recent acting work includes, Beauty and the Beast with NIE which transfers to New York this year, The Tenant with Concert Theatre, Return of the Wildman with Wonderful Beast and Complicités production of The Magic Flute. He featured in Caroline Horten's Radio 4's production of Pandora. He has also worked with Slip of Steel and KILN. Martin trained at LISPA and is based in Bristol.

Rob Wilson

Head of Nonsense

Rob founded GL&F in 2005 with his pals Oscar and Ian and is a director and social mechanics experience innovator as well as a performer, host and a DJ. 
Rob studied acting at Guildhall, and comedy improvisation in Chicago with Second City and iO.  He founded Impromptu Shakespeare a 5 star annual hit at Edinburgh festival where shakespeare is improvised from scratch.

Rob was commissioned by Unboxed festival of creativity in 2022 to create 'Moon games' a touring playfulness workshop exploring creativity and games as an educational tool for adults.

 

Rob leads the team on creating all our event work and fa-silly-tation.  

He also directed Roald Dahl and the imagination Seekers theatre show for Roald Dahl  Story company which has toured internationally and oversees bookings and creative projects at GL&F.

Emma Edwards

Associate Director

With Get Lost and Found, Emma recently wrote and directed Mischief and
Mysteries in Moominvalley, a unique interactive puppet show, commissioned by Moomin Characters which is touring all over the UK.
She also worked with Puffin Books and The Roald Dahl Estate on “Roald Dahl
and the Imagination Seekers”. She is one of the legendary Camp Bestival Bluecoats.
As half of A&E Comedy she has written a number of scripts for television and
film. Their sitcom “What Next” won the prestigious Sitcom Mission, and was
optioned by Hat Trick Productions.
Their short film “Flaws’ has been entered for several festivals, and they have filmed a pilot for a new series “Fleapit”, created in collaboration with
Spymonkey Theatre Company.
She co-wrote and performs in their two-hander “Enter the Dragons”, which
won the Best Show at Brighton Fringe 2017 and is currently touring, following
a sell out run at Edinburgh Fringe,.
She was joint artistic director of Facepack Theatre, an award-winning company creating shows and education projects throughout Britain and Europe.
 

Nerine Skinner

Nerine Skinner

Actor, Presenter and Theatre Maker

Nerine trained at Arts Educational Schools London and has worked in many areas of the industry from Musical Theatre and dance to plays and stand up comedy. Her recent work includes 'Beauty and The Beast' (Salisbury Playhouse) 'Undercover Girlfriends' (Channel 5) and Sybil in 'The Faulty Towers Dining Experience' in London, West End.

 

Nerine is also part of a comedy duo called 'Franks and Skinner'. Together they have written and performed two shows which they have taken to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where they received 5 star reviews, interest from television producers and have since filmed a pilot for a children's series. 

 

Nerine also works heavily in devising and has helped create and develop several projects this year including 'Pamela's Palace' (Edinburgh Fringe) 'When Basil Met Sybil' (London 2019) as well as private immersive drama abroad. 

She worked on craeting 'Roald Dahl and the Wurblegobblers' with Get Lost and Found.  

Jack(son) Schwier

Jackson Schwier

Associate Artist

Is a director/ performer/ producer/ poet and educator. 

Having trained originally as an actor, graduating MMU School of Theatre in 2007, Jackson has spent the years since diversifying his skill set and collaborating with people across the arts and performance spectrum, both in the UK and further afield. 

 

Since 2016 Jackson has had the pleasure of working with the  Get Lost and Found team; Creating events both sublime and ridiculous, but always filled with sincerity, heart and joy (and a little nonsense). 

 

Jackson has worked with Bakehouse factory, performing and also helping to develop fun and educational activities for children. He is  and is also a co-founder of House of Dinosaur a creative events collective currently based between Nottingham, London and Copenhagen

 

Jacksons creative practice is based on the principles of learning/ teaching/ collaborating and performing. All four have an essential role to play and each aids the other in further development.
